Driver and Delivery Partner Terms
These Driver and Delivery Partner Terms (the Terms) govern access to the Karawi platform by drivers, couriers, fleet operators, rental providers, and other independent service providers (Partners). By registering, going online, or accepting a request, you agree to these Terms.
1. Relationship with Karawi
Karawi provides technology that connects Partners with riders and customers. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, you perform services as an independent provider, not as an employee, worker, agent, or representative of Karawi. You decide when to go online and whether to accept an available request, subject to law, safety rules, and service commitments you have already accepted.
You are responsible for your own licensing, permits, registrations, taxes, insurance, equipment, vehicle costs, assistants, and legal obligations. Nothing in these Terms authorizes you to bind Karawi or make commitments on its behalf.
2. Eligibility, verification, and documents
You must be at least 18 years old, legally entitled to provide the selected service, and hold all current licences, registrations, inspections, insurance, and permits required in the area where you operate. All identity, vehicle, banking, wallet, and service information must be accurate.
You must promptly update expired or changed documents. We may verify documents, request originals or additional evidence, and suspend access while verification is incomplete or where information appears false, expired, or unsafe.
3. Vehicle and equipment
Only an approved vehicle and account may be used to provide services. You may not lend the account to another person, use an unregistered substitute vehicle, or misrepresent the vehicle, plate, capacity, accessibility, or service category. You must keep the vehicle and equipment roadworthy, clean, safe, and suitable for the accepted service.
4. Going online and accepting requests
Going online indicates that you are available and legally able to provide services. You must keep location services enabled when required for dispatch, navigation, safety, and trip records. You may accept, reject, or propose a bid where the Platform allows it, but accepted requests must be completed professionally unless cancellation is justified by safety, law, inaccurate booking details, or another reason allowed by the cancellation policy.
You may not manipulate location, create false trips, coordinate sham bookings, misuse bidding, pressure a rider to cancel, accept requests you cannot fulfil, or operate multiple unauthorized accounts.
5. Fares, cash collection, commissions, and wallet balances
The Platform displays the fare, bid, pricing basis, commission, and material charges applicable to a request. You must collect only the amount shown or an additional charge expressly approved and recorded through the Platform. You may not demand hidden fees.
For cash services, you collect the customer payment on behalf of the service flow. Platform fees, commissions, adjustments, incentives, cancellation allocations, refunds, and other settlements may be posted to your work balance or financial ledger. A minimum work balance may be required to go online or receive requests. A setting that permits a negative accounting balance does not necessarily remove that operational minimum.
Withdrawable earnings, reserved amounts, and work balance are separate concepts. A withdrawal is not complete until its status is shown as paid. Payout timing and available payout methods depend on configured payment partners and verification requirements.
6. Cancellations, waiting, and additional charges
You must use the Platform's arrival, waiting, cancellation, and completion controls accurately. A cancellation fee may be assigned according to the published policy and available payment method. You must not mark arrival before reaching the pickup area, extend waiting time falsely, or complete a trip that did not occur.
Extra charges may be requested only for a legitimate, documented reason allowed by the Platform. They require the approval and recording flow shown in the Platform. Misuse may result in reversal, suspension, or recovery from future balances.
7. Safety and professional conduct
You must:
- comply with traffic, transport, labour, public-order, and safety laws;
- drive carefully and never use the app in a way that distracts you while moving;
- treat riders, recipients, merchants, and support staff respectfully and without harassment or discrimination;
- never drive while impaired, dangerously tired, medically unfit, or using a vehicle known to be unsafe;
- transport only passengers and goods permitted by law and suitable for the vehicle;
- protect rider privacy and use personal information only to fulfil the active service; and
- promptly report serious incidents, collisions, threats, suspected fraud, or emergencies.
Contact emergency services directly where immediate assistance is needed.
8. Delivery and parcel responsibilities
For delivery services, you must reasonably inspect external packaging, preserve the item, follow lawful handling instructions, and deliver only to the intended recipient or an authorized alternative. Do not knowingly transport cash, illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, hazardous materials, stolen property, or prohibited items. Report damaged, unsafe, refused, or undeliverable items through the Platform.
9. Communications, ratings, and customer information
The Platform may send operational calls, in-app messages, push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. Transactional communications are necessary to operate your account and services. Optional marketing communications are managed separately.
Ratings, service records, complaints, safety reports, acceptance rates, and cancellations may be used for quality and safety review. You must not contact a rider or customer after the service except for a legitimate support, payment, safety, or lost-property purpose.
10. Suspension, investigation, and termination
We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account to investigate safety incidents, fraud, document expiry, unlawful conduct, unpaid platform amounts, repeated service failures, account sharing, or a material breach. Serious safety or fraud concerns may require immediate action. Where appropriate, we will provide a reason and a route to support or review.
You may stop using the Platform at any time, but outstanding rides, property, fees, balances, disputes, and lawful retention duties remain enforceable.
11. Platform availability and liability
We use reasonable care to operate the Platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted network, map, payment, notification, or dispatch services, or any minimum number of requests or earnings. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karawi is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss or for costs and risks that belong to an independent Partner's business.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, operational, financial, or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or another appropriate channel. We may require acceptance of a new version before you can go online or accept further requests.
13. Governing law and support
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Iraq. Disputes that cannot be resolved through support may be submitted to the competent Iraqi courts.
Questions, complaints, or account disputes can be submitted at https://taxi.karawi.net/ticket or by email to support@karawi.net.
